Thursday November 20th: Aberdeen Maritime Museum

A Welcome Reception and Buffet Meal will be held in the Maritime Museum. Built in 1593 the Aberdeen Maritime Museum tells the story of the city's long relationship with the sea from the days of sail and clipper ships to the latest oil and gas exploration technology. Located in Shiprow, between the main shopping street and the harbour, it includes an 8.5m (28 feet) high model of the Murchison oil production platform and a nineteenth century assembly taken from Rattray Head lighthouse. Aberdeen Maritime Museum also offers a spectacular viewpoint over the busy harbour.
