Travel

Aberdeen is readily accessible from the rest of the UK. It takes around three hours by train, coach or car from Glasgow or Edinburgh.


Train

Air

Flying to Aberdeen is easy. Aberdeen Airport is served by several UK airlines. The airport is seven miles from the city centre. Tel +44 (0) 870 040 0006

Car Hire
All main car hire companies have offices in Aberdeen and Aberdeen Airport.


Car

Aberdeen is easily reached from either Glasgow or Edinburgh. The M90/A90 connects Edinburgh with Aberdeen. From Glasgow, follow the M80/A9 to join the A90 at Perth. You can check out the AA or RAC websites to plan your route.

Please note there is limited parking near the Conference Centre and the city centre hotels.

 

King's College Conference Centre

Kings College, Old AberdeenSet within the heart of Old Aberdeen, King's College Conference Centre combines historical aesthetics with modern convenience. Established in 1495, the original buildings and timeless cobbled streets of the University create an intimate ambience, unrivalled in the north east of Scotland.

Travel between the city centre and the conference centre is easiest by local buses serving the university campus.

Local Buses

The number 20, from Littlejohn Street next to Marischal College, links the city centre to Old Aberdeen.
The number 19, from Broad Street (opposite Marischal College), passes to the west of the university along Bedford Road.
From Union Street (the city's main thoroughfare), the numbers 1, 2 and 14, travelling east, all run along King Street and pass the university. Alight just after the university playing fields on your left.
